Planning your summer vacation? Here are 9 affordable destinations for different budgets

travel-2Planning your summer vacation? You are probably spoiled for choice. But, it can be difficult to zero in on a destination that suits both your budget and travel taste.

To take the stress out of your holiday planning, we have shortlisted nine affordable destinations to suit three different budgets—under Rs 10,000, Rs 11,000-15,000 and Rs 16,000-20,000. The cost includes a three night, four-day trip for a couple, except Bhutan, which is a four-day, five-night package. Please note that the budget does not include the cost of getting to the destination and back.

We have picked affordable mid-range hotels and homestays for accommodation, taking into account other factors like safety and cleanliness. Internal commute expenses are for air-conditioned taxis, except for Munnar and Gokarna. For the activities slug, we have considered entry fees of five major tourist attractions and adventure activities held at the destination. Have a great holiday.
